Laura Fontanills, Board Member & Public Relations Contact

LauraLaura Fontanills is the official public relations contact for High Hopes in High Heels. In her role, she responds to media inquiries and proactively shares High Hopes in High Heels news, projects and activities with the media to gain favorable coverage for the organization and the charities we work with.

Laura has more than five years of public relations experience working in local PR firms. She currently is an account director at Common Language, a boutique public relations and strategic communications firm in downtown St. Petersburg.

Laura is a Floridian born and raised. She grew up in Tampa and graduated from the University of South Florida with a bachelor’s degree in public relations. In addition to High Hopes in High Heels, Laura is a committee member and volunteer with Tampa Bay Businesses for Culture and the Arts (TBBCA) and Leadership Tampa Bay, which she is a graduate of the 2008 class. She is also the Tampa Food Examiner writer for Examiner.com.

Laura lives in Tampa with her husband Henry and dog-child Lily, an adorable Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. In her free time Laura loves to cook, bake, shop, visit local farmers’ markets and attend local festivals with Lily in tow.
