Carissa Caricato was born in St. Louis, Missouri, moved around quite a bit, but calls Atlanta (more specifically Alpharetta) home. She moved to Tampa in 2004 to attend the University of South Florida. After graduating in May 2008, she now works for the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay which brings help, hope and healing to people facing serious life challenges. Her goal is to create community awareness for people who need the services of the Crisis Center and generate support from people who love the organization and mission.
Committed to making Tampa Bay a great place to live, work and play, Carissa is Program Chair of Emerge Tampa Bay, the emerging leaders program of the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce, Voice Chair of the Sexual Violence Task Force of Tampa Bay, Student Membership Liaison for the Public Relations Society of America Tampa Bay Chapter, an active member of 97 West, the singles ministry of South Tampa Fellowship, board member for High Hopes in High Heels, and active member in EWomen Network. If she has any spare time, she enjoys traveling, hoola hooping, volunteering, tennis, mission work in Haiti, playing the piano and accordion, coffee dates, rollerblading, reading, paddle boarding, skiing, and trying new restaurants.
